YTDO Lagos State Chapter Set to Celebrates World Tourism Day.

Youth Tourism Development Organization Lagos State Chapter is organizing a virtual conference in commemoration of the World Tourism Day 2020. World Tourism Day is celebrated on 27th September.

Speaking with the Lagos State Chapter Coordinator Pascal Ogunkoya, he said that the conference is organised in collaboration with TBS International with the theme “Tourism, Building Peace and Fostering Knowledge”.

He said that the objective of the program is to celebrate tourism development in Nigeria,  to expose the youths to various tourism sectors and youth involvement in global action for peace in Tourism. The Organizers are bringing on board stakeholders from different parts of the Nation, to speak on the immense opportunities and benefits of tourism as the future of National Economic development and job creation.

Pascal retorted that the conference will have been a physical meeting, but due to the Covid-19 set guidelines and compliance, it will be a virtual meeting so as to accommodate more participants from across the world.

The program will hold on Saturday 26th September by 10am  on Zoom virtual portal.

Seventeen panelist are expected at the virtual conference among whom are;

Lauretta Togonu -Bickersteth – Hospitality Consultant,

Anago James Akeem Osho (Lagos State) Tourism. practitioner, Multiple award winner Cultural Curator and President of West African Tour Guide Association.

This panelist from various States in Nigeria will be sharing their views, experience and challenges with the world.

YTDO Lagos State coordinator said it promises to very interesting as it will be engaging, interactive and entertaining.
