Gov Sanwo-Olu Set for LATHACE 2021 Tourism Economic Summit For March 25th- FTAN Lagos Chapter Coordinator 

“Harmonizing relationship in Public Private partnership in Lagos Tourism Hospitality, Arts and Culture for Sustainable development towards a greater Lagos”

The Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria  Lagos State Chapter has conclude plans for it’s maiden edition of “Lagos Tourism, Hospitality, Arts and Culture Economic Summit” LATHACE 2021, which comes up ont he 25th of March.

According to the Chapter Co-ordinator Mr Gbenga Sunmonu he said that the summit is the first of it’s kind with an objective to solve specific industry challenges.

Mr Sunmonu noted that the intensive meeting, due to hold at Eko Hotels and Suites in Victoria Island Lagos, will attract stakeholders from the public and private sectors to discuss issues that touch on Lagos tourism, hospitality, arts and the entertainment industries.

It is a two in one intensive program whereby the Ministries relating with the industry will set set up their desk for interaction and information disemination to resolve issues and set up agenda for the way forward. There will also be online portals opened by the various ministries for those who will want to resolve or register with them online.

The program is a hybrid summit which will be both onsite and online with the Executive governor of Lagos State His Excellency Mr. Babajide  Sanwo-Olu as the Special guest of honour and the Guest Speaker Mr. Olaniyi Yusuf Managing Partner for Verraki Partners will be speaking on the theme: “Public Private partnership for sustainable growth of the Tourism, Arts and Culture for a greater Lagos”.

The Hon. Commissioner of Lagos State Tourism Arts and Culture Mrs Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf is among the discussant panelist  that will address key issues in the industry,  along with Chief Sam Alabi Chairman of the Hotel Owners and Managers Association Lagos. HOMA,  the Hon. Commissioner for Lagos State Ministry of Finance Dr. Rabiu Olowo Onaolapo,  and the Executive Chairman of Lagos State Internal Revenue Service Mr Ayodele Subair

The Vice President FTAN South-West zone Otunba Ayo Olumoko  said that the summit was being  organised at the right time, as the industry had suffered the most during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He noted that the platform would enable the various stakeholders fashion a direction on the way forward for the industry.

He urged all concerned stakeholders to endeavour to attend the summit by registering to attend online and through other social media platform for the  live streaming. This will chat way forward for the industry.
