FTAN Lagos Chapter Congratulates NTDC and NCAC DGs

The Coordinator of Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria Lagos Chapter Mr Gbenga Sunmonu congratulates Otunba Segun Runsewe the Director general of National Council For Arts and Culture (NCAC) and Mr. Folorunsho Cooker Director general Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) on their reappointment by President ,Mohammadu Buhari.

Sunmonu said that the President of the federation repose confident in both leaders hence their reappointment.

Sunmonu said that the past four years for Otunba Segun Runsewe as director general of NCAC has remains at the heart of President Buhari Cultural tourism reformation agenda. He added that Nigerian Cultural economy has being boosted, as the agency has impacted the lives of women and youths in the area of empowerment, creativity and promotion of Nigerian made products. Otunba Rusenwe has also reinforce the mutual cultural relationship, reawakening and recreating wealth that exists between Nigeria and many Nations

Folorunsho Coker was called to head the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation NTDC in March 2017, he believes that the future for tourism is digital, training and promotion of local tourism through digitalization, hence he was able to secure partnership with Google Nigeria to digitalize Nigerian Tourism sites for the world to see.

Among his projects is Tour Nigeria and he has championed the need for the National Assembly to legislate laws that will help position tourism ro achieve the sustainable development for economic growth.

Sunmonu wish the DGs good success and advised both leaders to carry along the stakeholders and to practice an inclusive system of operation in the next four years. He assured them that FTAN Lagos chapter will give them all the support to advance the tourism and Culture sector for sustainable development
